A Valuable Lesson

Who says we can’t learn anything from watching TV?  Well I beg to differ.  I watched a ton of television as a kid and they all covered subjects like:

  • Don’t Steal
  • Telling The Truth
  • Underage Drinking
  • Doing Drugs
  • And More!

But none of them covered the tough subject of masturbation.  Now we all remember that memorable time in our lives when we first masturbated.  I don’t care if you are a male or a female.  Most of us have done it at least once.  Others make it a part of our every day life.  However, the important question I ask is did your dad talk to you about masturbation?  I know my dad in a jokingly way use to ask me if I masturbated.  But my dad had a way of making things comfortable to talk about by using humor.  Not everybody has a dad like that.  So most of us had to learn on our own.  But finally TV has tackled this interesting topic in a way that everybody can understand.  Might I add that this video is hilarious.  I have found a clip from one of my favorite shows, Weeds, and wanted to share it with you.  Please allow me to fill you in on the backstory.  Here we have young Shane Botwin being talked to about masturbating from his Uncle Andy.  Now his Uncle Andy was asked to talk to Shane by his sister-in-law.  Apparently the pipes were getting clogged and the plumbing wasn’t working so well.  Only to discover that socks were being flushed down the toilet.  Well why would anybody flush socks down the toilet?  Well watch the video and see.

There you have it.  I believe that this is a valuable life lesson that should be shared by any parent that has children.  If you enjoyed this video you should check out Weeds on Showtime.  I highly recommend downloading it on iTunes or on NetFlix.
