Living Situation

One of my good friends Rushlow suggested I blog about my current living situation.  Which in my opinion is a great topic.  Since my return to New England, I have been living with my good friends Cous and College Kathy.  Now tell me if this doesn’t sound like a sitcom.  You have an Italian/Irish (acts more Italian then Irish), a crazy tiny Asian, and a big Black guy all under one roof!  We are currently receiving offers from NBC, ABC, CBS, Nickelodeon, and Telemundo.

So what does a typical day look like, you ask?  Good question.  In the mornings, College Kathy gets up first to catch the “T” into Boston so she can play god with laboratory rats.  I usually wake up next thanks to my alarm and the several Cous has set in his room (but never hears).  As for Cous, he wakes up about 10 minutes before he needs to be at work.  After a hard day’s work, we all come home to Kathy’s wonderful cooking.  Sometimes, Cous will play Chef Boyardee and whip up some chicken cutlets.  I know, I know can he be any more Italian.  Since I am a disgrace to the black community with my grilling abilities, I am limited to a few dishes.  However, I do make a killer chicken stir fry.  With our meals in tow, we gather like a family around the dinner table.  Like any family, we like to talk about each of our days.  Ha!  Who am I kidding?  We grab our plates and enjoy great television programming like Two and a Half Men (sarcasm intended).  After dinner, we usually engage in some racially charged conversations for dessert.  The night is topped off with some episodes of Friday Night Lights.  On the weekends, we usually mix it up and hit up some bars or bowling alleys with characters like the Reat and Chet.

All in all, I enjoy my living situation.  Cous runs a tight ship here.  But at least it isn’t a slave ship!  I am thankful that the weather is getting warmer though.  Can’t take another cold winter night in my room and not being able to turn on the heat.  Relax Cous, I am joking (sort of).  I love my roommates so much that I don’t see myself leaving the house for at least 20 years!

I’m Baaack

So who has missed me?  Nobody huh?  Well that is cool!  So I realized that my last post was quite some time ago.  I am sure many of you are wondering why I stopped blogging. Well the MBTC (Man Behind the Clouds) went through some life changes.  I am no longer living and working in Orlando.  Now I am not going to get into too much detail about what happened to me but I would like to get a few things off my chest.  First, I owe a few apologies to some people.  Let’s start with my family.  We lived 2 minutes apart and I never spent enough time with you guys.  Now that we are over a thousand miles away, I miss you so much.  I’m sorry I took you guys for granted. Next, I’d like to apologize to LMB.  You are a great person and I really messed up things between us.  You didn’t deserve to be treated that way.  For this, I am truly sorry!  Someday, I hope we can be cool again.  I am sorry to all my really good friends in Orlando that I left behind (you know who you are).  But always know that Michael J. misses you dearly.  Hopefully all of you understand that my time was up in Orlando.  The next chapter in my life has brought me back to where it all began.  Who knows what will happen next.

Alright alright!  Enough of me pouring out my emotions.  Let’s turn this frown upside down!  I do have some positive things going on in my life.  I have reconnected with old friends.   The MBTC managed to land a great job at a health and wellness web company. Let me tell you that the new job has had a positive impact on my own health.  Since my first day on the job back in December, I have managed to lose 11 lbs. Unlike last time, I am truly committed and motivated to lose 30 pounds by my 30th b-day in June.  With your support, I will have my body looking right for beach season.  That’s all that is pretty much happening with me.

So I plan on getting back on track and posting some more articles.  But your boy MBTC is going to need your help. Hit me up on twitter @ManBehindClouds with some topics you want me to discuss.  You also have the option to gmail me at manbehindtheclouds!

Stay tuned for more!

It’s Too Damn Hot

What’s up all my faithful followers? Hope everybody is doing lovely. I am writing this post from the hot and sinful Las Vegas. Why am I in Vegas you ask? Well I am out here for my parents 50th b-day celebration. So we got the family from LA here and we are just doing the damn thing! Can I just tell you how hot it is here? It was 117 degrees here yesterday. Now before you say, “but MBTC (Man Behind the Clouds) it is dry heat”! My response to that is I don’t give a rat’s ass. Hot is hot. Anything over 100 degrees is insanely hot.

Anybody Miss The Man?

My last post was in November?  Damn that is crazy.  Since then, many people have asked me what is going on with the Man Behind the Clouds blog.  Well I am here to say that I am back and look forward to some more great posts.  I am kind of juggling between Man Behind the Clouds (MBTC) and  the Black and Perv Show (available on iTunes).  But I will certainly try to step up my game a bit!  So consider this my comeback tour!

Coming Up on MBTC…

  1. Celtics return to glory
  2. Why I think Ridley Scott  killed Robin Hood
  3. Heroes cancelled without a finale

Two More Days

See You In A Couple Of Days

Thats right people!  I will be back in my hometown of North Attleboro, Massachusetts in a couple of days.  I must say that I am looking forward to hanging out with old friends.  I have a feeling that there will be a couple of drunk nights with some stories to tell.  So if you are reading this and would like to see me then please go ahead and make an appointment now.  Ha-ha just kidding.  But seriously my schedule does fill up and there are so many people that I haven’t seen in awhile.  You know who you are.  So if you still have my number then give me a call.  If you don’t have my number then shame on you for not having it anymore.

Well my fellow New Englanders, get ready because I am coming in a couple of days and I am going to have a blast!!
