Celtics Might Give Me Heart Problems

Celtics Move over Danny Ainge because you might have some company.  Please do not get me wrong, I enjoy exciting playoff series but geesh this Boston & Chicago series is suspenseful.  If you haven’t been watching this playoff series, I think my first question to you would be  WHY THE HELL NOT??  I do not mean to yell but seriously this is NBA Playoffs in its purest form.  Please name me one other series that has left you on the edge of your seat?  Don’t worry I’ll wait…. C’mon you cannot expect me to wait forever.  I will give you the answer.  There isn’t another series that is intense as this one.  Let me just say that those pesky Chicago Bulls are pushing my team to the limit.  I think I may have had a nightmare about Ben Gordon draining big shots.  The only problem is that I wasn’t sleeping when this happened.  Like the rest of the Celtics fans out there, I was witnessing this happen first hand.  I must say that the fans are certainly getting their money’s worth!!!  Thanks to the shooting touch of Paul Pierce, the Celtics look to close the series out in Chi-town.  All I ask of you my beloved Celtics is that you do not make it so freaking dramatic.  My weak heart cannot take much more.  Stay tuned for my thoughts on Joakim Noah.  If you do not know who he is then that is just perfect.

Ember Is A Ripoff

Lightning Strikes

My first bolt of lightning must be struck down on a bar here in Orlando called Ember.  Now I must say that I liked Ember the first couple of times I have gone.  Until just a few weeks ago, I have decided to never go back there again.  So the story starts off with my friends deciding that they want to head to Ember.  So we get there and order some drinks and the alcoholic in me emerged and I finished my drink rather quickly.  So instead of just drinking a single shot in a short glass, I decided to upgrade to a double shot in a tall glass.  I catch the attention of our cocktail waitress and order another drink.  She disappears with her drink tray and magically reappears a few minutes later.  When the waitress does return she hands me a glass that is the same exact size as my previous drink.  So I am thinking to myself that maybe she forgot that I ordered a double tall.  So I asked her how much and she said 6 dollars.  Please keep in mind that was the price of the first drink that I demolished.  So I pay for my drink with cash (those that know me will tell you that it is a rarity for me to carry cash).  At this point I am trying not to destroy this drink like the one before.  But as soon as I go to take my first sip, I get tapped on the shoulder and sure enough it is the waitress.  With the music blaring in the background I lean over to see what she wants.  She leans over and tells me that she made a mistake and that I owe her six bucks!  I am completely confused at this point and I’m sure it was written all over my face.  I said to her that there must be some sort of mistake.  The waitress with an attitude says that the drink I ordered is a double tall.  My face went from having a confused look to a are you fucking kidding me face.  I ask her how she figured that the drink I ordered is a double tall.  Also keep in mind that it tasted like it still had one shot in it.  Her explanation just took me from zero to pissed off in about .6 seconds.  So long story short, I spent several minutes arguing how I owed six bucks more.  The rage in me was growing.  But I calmed down and said in a stern tone that I will pay the money but that I refuse to set foot in this place again.

So that is what I plan to do!

So Ember consider yourself struck down!

17 Reasons Why I Miss Boston

bostonskylineFrom time to time, I get very nostalgic about my home city.  Chalk it up to being homesick.  Now I love Orlando don’t get me wrong.  I just know that O-town lacks so many things.  To me, Boston is one of the greatest cities in this country.  Whenever I ask people about their favorite cities the list goes something like this… New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC.  Many times people fail to mention Boston.  Usually at this point, I slap some sense into that person and throw in my two cents about my beloved city.  Those that know and have experienced Boston will tell you (if they know what is good for them) that it belongs in the same breath as some of the well known cities in this country.  Boston has a little bit of everything for everybody.

Anyways the purpose behind today’s post is not to sell my city of Boston (or maybe it is).  I am here to list the things I miss about being in Beantown…

  1. Red Sox nation
  2. Being engulfed in history
  3. Quincy Market
  4. New England Clam Chowder
  5. Snowball fights
  6. Sledding
  7. Being surrounded by Boston accents
  8. New England Patriots
  9. North End
  10. Logan Airport
  11. Dunkin Donuts
  12. Newbury Street
  13. Celtics
  14. CVS
  15. Wiffle Ball
  16. Riding the T
  17. MY FRIENDS!!!!

I could on and on.  But I will not.  I want to take this time to ask my readers out there to list why you like or miss your city so much.  I am very curious to see what other cities have to say about themselves.

Well thanks for reading! Please share any of your comments or thoughts with me!

Popping My Blogging Cherry

Greetings ladies and gentlemen! My name is Michael J or commonly known as The WeatherMan! I will keep my introduction very brief because I want to focus on my first time (officially) becoming a blogger. You know it is funny about “First Times”, we all seem to remember our firsts! Our first trip to the zoo… first time on a plane.. and the list goes on and on. However, we only seem to care or talk about our firsts when it comes to sex! Hmm… seems like I have your attention now! I am sure many of you are going through your firsts in your head right now!! All of them pertaining to some sort of sexual experience I am sure! Anyways I digress… I have fooled around (mind in the gutter still?) with some blogs before and have had some levels of success. Well today I have officially entered the big leagues of blogging. The time has come when this blogging boy pops his cherry and becomes a blogging man!!

Well stay tuned to the “Man Behind the Clouds” as there will be more to come!!!
